About A Pen in The Woods

A Pen in The Woods is about local politics in Tredyffrin, Pennsylvania.   I mostly write about the things I observe in public meetings, and share them with you, so you can be informed.   The name “Pennsylvania,” as you know, means “Penn’s Woods,” and this blog takes that meaning in a little different direction.  Can one pen in the woods make a difference?

I am a long-time resident of Tredyffrin Township in Pennsylvania interested in reducing taxes.   A typical resident of Tredyffrin pays Federal, State, County, Township, School Board, and Sewer Taxes, and some also pay Homeowner Association Taxes, called “Fees.”   Taxes on real estate sales and purchases and on goods and services are extra.  Sometimes, it seems like calculating all the taxes we pay would be impossible.
